Introduction to People
- The People section allows you to add the names of all travellers in the group onto Vamoos. When they log in, they select their name from a list creating a more personal experience and adding their name on the home screen of the app
- Another benefit of using the people section is that when a client shares an image in the posts section, it will have their name attached, same as if they send you a message, you will be able to see which individual in the group is messaging you
How to add People
- To add people to your trip, select or create your trip from your Vamoos List and select the People section on the left-hand side menu
- To add a name, press the Add button
- You can then type in the name of each of your clients in the boxes that appear
- If you want to add multiple names, you can copy and paste a list from a spreadsheet and it will populate the People section for you
TOP TIP: Our recommendation is to add no more 10 names as otherwise your guests will have to search through a long list of names to find their own. However, this is only a recommendation - feel free to use it if you want to!
Adding email addresses for your travellers
- If you have them, you can also add the email addresses of your travellers
- To do this, insert the email in the Email box
- If the email you entered matches the email that your traveller uses to log in on the app, they will not have to enter the User ID and passcode to access their itinerary

- By adding your travellers' emails, you can also send force update notifications directly to their email addresses
Reordering People
- You can change the order of people at any point, so why not put them in alphabetical order to make life easy for your clients
- To reorder people, simply click the 3 lines on the left-hand side of the name, and drag it to the desired position
Deleting People
- If you would like to delete a name, click the 'X' on the right-hand side of the name to remove them
Using People for Messaging
- Having the people section set up can also be useful if you are using the in-app messaging feature
- Due to phone privacy issues, Vamoos has no way of tracking the name of the individual who is messaging you, just the device type
- By having the people section set up, you can see the name of the individual who is messaging you, allowing you to craft a more specific response. Read more about Messaging here
Using People to personalise content for individuals
- You also have the ability to customise certain items for individuals on a group trip
- This includes Flights, Documents, and Storyboard items.
- Using the People section, you can restrict content for individuals within a group
- Your travellers will be able to log in to the app, select their name or authenticate themselves via email and only see the content you want them to be able to see
