Introduction to Personalisation
- Personalisation gives you the ability to customise certain items for individuals on a group trip.
- You can personalise Flights, Documents and Storyboard items and choose which individuals can see which items.
- This is great if you have a group trip but with travellers on different flights, doing different activities, or if you only want to show one traveller a particular document (e.g boarding pass or invoice), and make sure the others can't see it.
- Your travellers will be able to log in to the app, select their name or authenticate themselves via email and only see the content you want them to be able to see.
How to add People
- To start restricting content, you need to add people to your trip
- To do this, select or create your trip from your Vamoos List and select the People section on the left-hand side menu
- To add a name, press the Add button
- You can then type in the name of each of your clients in the boxes that appear
TOP TIP: to add multiple names you can press 'Enter' rather than press add OR you can now copy and paste a list of names into this section

- If you haven't already, go ahead and add your Flights

How to personalise Documents

- To start restricting Documents, click on the Restrict Visibility icon next to the document you would like to restrict
- Check the Show only for selected travellers box
- Press the switch next to the name of the person you would like to restrict the content for
- Press Apply
- Once you have done this, you will see a number appear next to the restricted item to show how many people you have restricted it for
How to personalise Storyboard items

- Press the switch next to the name of the person you would like to restrict the content for
- Press Apply
- Once you have done this, you will see a number appear next to the restricted item to show how many people you have restricted it for
Viewing personalised content on the app
- Once you have personalised the content for your travellers, they will be able to log in on the app and see only their trip information
- There are a few options on how they can do this:
Option 1: choose their name from a list
- When your customers log in with their User ID and Passcode, they will need to select their name from a list, this will then show them their personalised content
- It will also create a more personalised experience by adding their name to the home screen
Option 2: log in with their emails
- You can enter the email addresses of your customers alongside their names in the People section
This will mean, that when your customers access their trip information, they will download the Vamoos app, log in with Apple or Google (making sure they use the same email address that you enter on the Vamoos Portal) and their trip will be there ready for them to download
This means they do not have to log in with a User ID and Passcode
This will automatically show them the personalised content that you have given them
If you want us to, we can change the settings on your account so your customers have to authenticate themselves with their Apple or Google accounts and can't just select their name from a list, just let us know if you'd like this.
Read more about signing in with Apple and Google here.
