Creating templates and duplicating Trips

For travel companies

Save yourself time by setting up templates in Vamoos. Rather than creating a new Vamoos record from scratch for each booking, use a template and save time! Even the most bespoke trips will have some shared sections.

How do I create a 'template trip'?

There is no official template section in Vamoos, so it is really important to clearly name your template trips to make them easy to find in your Vamoos List.

Create a generic trip for a destination (or type of holiday) and add any shared information. Here are some examples of shared information that could be useful to put on a template:

  • The home screen image might stay the same for all trips to one destination

  • Generic destination-based documents (e.g. useful phrases, tipping advice, reading lists)

  • Timed notification comms schedule for pre & post departure (e.g. 3 days before "don't forget to pack your passport!")

  • Enabling the Vamoos messaging

  • Linking an Inspiration brochure for future travel

Once you've made your template make sure the passcode or client ref box includes the word TEMPLATE to make it easy to search for in your Vamoos List:

How do I duplicate a trip?

To duplicate a trip, first locate it in your Vamoos List.

There are 2 ways to copy a trip, you can either:

1. Scroll to the right on your Vamoos List, and click the duplicate icon on the trip you'd like to copy

2. Click on the trip to open it up and press the COPY button in the top bar

Once you've pressed copy or duplicate, you will see a pop-up box appear. Here you need to give your new trip a passcode, and you can choose which of the sections you'd like to copy across to your new trip by ticking the boxes.

Once you've done this, press Create a Copy and the newly created trip will automatically open ready for you to make amendments.
