Introduction to Do Not Disturb

 

  • The ability to offer a Do Not Disturb service is key to any property for your guests' experience easy-to-operate


  • This allows you to move away from cardboard hung over a door handle and instead replace this with a smooth and easy-to-operate mobile system


  • This can be set at all hours of the day and there is no need to speak to a member of staff directly 




Setting up Do Not Disturb 


  • To set up Do Not Disturb for your property, go to your Vamoos List, select the property that you are editing and go to Do Not Disturb in the menu down the left-hand side 


  • To turn on the DND feature, turn the toggle on 




  • You will then need to insert a contact email address. This will be the email that is notified when your guests submit a DND request 


  • You will be able to approve requests via this email or on the portal 






Setting a cut-off time 


  • Set a cut-off time for when this service is no longer available 





The Do Not Disturb process for your guests 


  • Your clients at any point can select the DND icon on their app 





  • They can then request a DND status


  • They will be able to insert their Room Number/Name and request an amount of time they would like to set their DND for 






  • Once the DND request has been approved, they will receive a notification to their app


  • They will then be able to see a live countdown of how much time remains when they enter the DND section  




The Do Not Disturb process for the property owner


  • When a guest submits a DND request, you will receive an email notification to the email that you have selected as the contact email 


  • You will be able to see information such as booking name, room number and how long they have requested their DND service for 


  • If you approve of their request, you can click the Accept button on the email 





  • You will also have this information available in the Do Not Disturb section of the left-hand side menu of your property

 

  • You can also accept requests from here 




  • Your guests DND requests will not be confirmed until you have accepted them 

 

TOP TIP: You might want to have the portal open on the front desk so that reception can approve DND requests when they come in
