✅ For travel companies
Previously, if a passcode was saved in a Vamoos Trip at any point, it could never be used again. However, you can now delete passcodes to make them re-available.
In this article:
Background
- Until now, if a passcode was ever saved in a Vamoos Trip, that passcode could never be used again on an existing or future trip due to security reasons. Even if the passcode was saved and changed immediately, or if the trip was deleted, the passcode would still be permanently inaccessible.
- However, after feedback from Vamoos operators, we have implemented an option within the portal to make passcodes reusable.
Freeing Up Passcodes
- To free up a passcode, go into your Vamoos Portal and navigate to Settings > Passcodes on the top menu.
- You will then have the option to delete an existing passcode. Input the passcode you want to free up and make accessible, press Delete, and you will again be able to use this passcode for any future trip.
- Please note that, for security reasons, all used passcodes remain associated with their trips even after a new one has been added. This helps to avoid accidental re-use, which bears the risk of giving a previous customer with the old login details access to a new customer's data.
- By proceeding with re-using old passcodes, you are acknowledging this potential issue.
